Hi User501, like the others have said you really need to give it lots of time with those cheeks. You have a lot of later developing hairs there which will merge in time with the current hairs there to help fill it out. Also because your circle beard is so dark and dense it's making the cheeks look weaker than they really are.

So I would give it at least 13 weeks, probably more if you're determined to go for the full beard. They should fill out pretty well though they'll never be as thick as that circle beard. New hairs are always popping up. Even after a year growing (if you go that far) you'll spot new hairs emerging. That's the amazingness of beards.

Try not to overanalyse the cheeks too much in the mirror, it will drive you nuts and fill your head with self doubt. Just be patient. Check out the Patchy Beards Success Stories (Before and After) thread in Beard Themes.

Thanks for the info Dan! And yes you are right, I do overanalyze the cheeks a lot in the mirror, and so far nobody has really said anything negative about my beard, so I guess it doesn't look as bad as I think it does.

I am amazed by your comment about new hairs sprouting out after a year, that's very encouraging to me, I hope once I hit 4 months I can see a barber to get cleaned up a bit and continue growing.

Thanks again for the info!
