Evening gents, here comes the 7 weeks update, the halfway through milestone - one day early cause I'll be away tomorrow. Had a couple of off days this week when I got really frustrated with the thinness of cheeks side and sideburns and the temptation to chop it down to a Hollywoodian again got strong. Luckily I resisted the urge and I'm back on track now - today I was unreasonably happy with it for some reason

From the front it is starting to look like a full beard of sorts; the side view is still uninspiring, but we shall see. On the plus side I'm very happy with the way the stache is shaping up and finally getting the hang on using IrishDan's wax to the best effect, though it's going to be a special occasions thing only.

One thing I've realised is that with such wiry hair as mine there's simply no point trying to make it look super neat or to groom it within an inch of its life. To achieve that I'd have to surface trim every day, which is a non-starter. So for the last few days I've just sort of let it rip, cut down on the combing and just patted it down with the back of my fingers from time to time. It seems to do the trick, and it will be interesting to see what routine changes the next weeks will bring.

Still no comments to report, which is unusual - either no one notices, or I'm starting to look too deranged to make comments to either way, the race goes on. All the best folks!

Left side (really, the Hollywoodian is strong in this one)

And finally one for s**ts and giggles, stache swept to the side and a manic face in the storeroom at work
