Welcome!

First of all, while you're in Asia the regimen you've laid out sounds just fine. You can also look around for some coconut oil and rub a bit of that in daily instead of the conditioner, but if the latter is working then don't worry about it.

Dirtyboots is right, if you're considering growing anything more than basic stubble then I encourage you to let your beard grow for at least 13 weeks before making any major decisions about your beard. You appear to have very good coverage and density (I disagree with you about your cheekline) and are basically set to grow any style beard your want. Now it's just a matter of determining what that is.

Generally speaking, and I mean very generally, your beard's texture will follow that of your scalp, so if you have straight hair you're likely to have a straighter beard. I hate to tell you, though, that it doesn't mean you'll necessarily get though the scruffy phase unscathed. Few men do. You can mitigate it somewhat by using some beard balm and keeping a nice, clean neckline (which, I agree with the other gents is a bit too high; try lowering it to about a finger-width above your Adam's apple), and continuing to apply some oil daily.

Be sure to take a look at the 'Library Central of Beard Growing' (link in my signature below) and post here regularly for feedback and encouragement. Oh, and enjoy those grey hairs, you've earned them!

Cheers!
Tom
