I completely agree with the advice you've already received.  I can only imagine how angry you were when she cut something you explicitly told her not to.  I'd be livid!  You're in good company, by the way.  There's many a fine beard here that suffer at a barber's hands sometime in it's life.

The results looks just fine and your beard is so strong that what she took off will be back before you know it.  

I, too, want to encourage you to grow out your mustache.  You have a great one and having it look somewhat longer than your beard would really balance things nicely.  Just follow the tips in the 'Taming the Wild Mustache' thread (link in my signature below).
