Welcome!

First things first, if that's a 2.5-week beard you clearly scored well in the beard genes department. Your coverage and density are terrific! You will have no trouble at all having a nice, thick beard though, even for someone with your prodigious capabilities, you'll probably need to grow it longer than 6 weeks to get the beard you see in your mind's eye. Plan on about 13 weeks (perhaps a bit less for you) and assess things then. If it gets to the fullness you're after before then, great, just start maintaining that length and it will thicken up as the slower-growing hairs catch up.

Your beard appears to grow at a hellacious rate but your mustache looks like it's grow at normal speed, hence your sense of disappointment. That, coupled with its lighter color, make it look weaker compared to your cheeks. The best thing to do is just be patient and let it grow. Resist the urge to trim it as that will only set you back and follow the tips in the 'Taming the Wild Stache' thread in my signature below. A full, thick beard generally looks best if the mustache is slightly longer than the rest of the beard.

That really is an amazing beard for such a short growth period! Be sure to post here regularly for feedback and encouragement and so that we can all watch that beast explode!

Cheers!
Tom
