Maverick... living up to your name? LOL! J/K. I agree, with you, provisionally. It does vary by person. I've just started using Honest Amish Leave-in Conditioner (See my review in the Beard Products forum). Previously, I used Loreal Sulfate-Free shampoos & conditioners but got sick of getting it in my mouth and thought I'd see if I could improve upon the appearance. Never had much issue with split ends or broken hairs, except after applying color, which I stopped months ago.

In another thread, someone mentioned the fact that many products out there, some are "snake-oil," which is quite true. So, a lot of what is available is a joke. Yet one product may do nothing for one yet perform wonders for others.

Ddbck... Diet & nutrition has a lot to do with beard health, skin, etc. I, too would be interested in knowing why you feel that way though.

I heard vitamin B-12 and the protein from nuts & dairy are great for beard health.
