The utility of a beard product may actually be in the eye (nose, fingers,...) of the beardholder. If the scent is pleasing and the texture change is pleasant, then it can be a nice addition to one's daily regimen. The cost per application is miniscule when used with restraint. I can't speak to what another man's beard definitely needs or doesn't need, but I'll honestly advocate for what works for me. I probably have an easy beard to care for, so I have the luxury of taking a simpler approach to beard care. Other guys might have beard challenges that I don't, and that leads them to a more extensive product collection. No harm in trying things out to find what works and what doesn't. Even so, I don't think beard care has to be costly or burdensome for anyone.
