Well guys, I am at 2 months again.  it is definitely feeling and looking a bit shaggy and I am trying my best not to trim anything.  I have only trimmed a few stray hairs high up on my cheeks and a slight trim to the sideburn area to help blend it with my hair.  Let me know what you think, honestly.

Work is after me to trim, but I have been able to get away with this so far.  My boss can be a real pain in the behind and I am sure she is going to ask me to trim.  I would really like to see what it looks like after the scruffy phase.  I have never really made it this far without trimming and I would love to at least get to three months and hopefully some of my sparseness  will fill in and look a bit more even.   Wish me luck!

It's looking great, Truman.  Seriously.  As I think I've told you before, the natural lines of your beard are terrific and give your beard a very trim and shapely, almost carved, look.

I think the issue with your boss is similar to what others here have had to go through with spouses/SOs in she is used to seeing you with no beard, or a very short one, and this look isn't the 'Truman' she expects.  Why not let her know that you'd really like to hold out for another 4 weeks to get by this phase and cite the advice you've been given that at that point it will start to look tidier.  It's not that far off.  By then if it hasn't gotten better you'll probably be wanting to do at least a surface trim anyway.

Good luck!
Tom
