Welcome to the board! Getting in shape, growing a beard, life changes - well done at such an early age. As to your beard, red beards look really cool. I have "some" and, well, I wish I had more. As to the coverage, scruffiness, etc. - you are going to look scruffy for awhile and that's okay as this is just part of the process. Others are going to know you are growing a beard and it should not be a problem. It will get softer as it gets longer and the itchiness will go away soon, but, you can get some jojoba, argan or coconut oil and use a small amount daily. This will help.

You have good coverage. 3 months (13 weeks) is a good goal and that's what a beard needs to fill out properly - so, you're spot on with that. Don't be surprised if you don't stop at 3 months. Sometimes guys need 4 months or grow longer. It's kind of addicting - I never thought I'd be at 12 months, but, here I am. It's a lot of fun, so just sit back and enjoy it. Oh, and I wouldn't trim anything yet - later, you may want a neckline. You almost have a perfect one now. Before you do that, come here for some advice as I've seen too many guys with necklines that are too high.

So, for the next 3 months, sit back, relax, enjoy - and post here weekly as weekly pictures will show you your true progress.

Again, welcome!
