I find it very interesting how many guys really mostly rinse their beards with water.
Many are down to soap at around once every two weeks.  Even a man like Hatch with
thick hair and getting an oily mist is washing only once every 8 days.

Patrick how hot/warm is the water you use?  Do you wash with cooler water in the
summer?  If I am hot and sweaty in the summer I will use cooler water.  I use warmer
water in the cold months.  Still rinse with cold water year round.

Lethbaard - Patrick is right.  I use warm water, never hot.

Kurdt I just scrub once or twice a week with a wide toothed comb.  That seems to get
off any possible dead skin and avoids any blackheads.  I have oily skin.

Patrick D - Are you still using that regimen?  You are close to eliminating shampoo.

Erik - Now I have 9 months to Ghandi's 21 days.

Justin - Your post is so long ago you were not Ned yet!  I now know that you are
using a Pine soap regimen that seems to working well for you.

Ben - You WEN product sounds interesting.  When you spray in the conditioner do you
also brush or comb it in?  It seems like spraying would reach all of your beard.

Beaverchakus - That is so much different what happens to you when you do not dry
vs what happens to me.  I do not notice a difference on my beard, although on my hair
it is not as "fluffy" with the water only method.

Justin/Son - Thanks for the link.

Vince - The more I read this thread, the more and more guys USE to wash or shampoo
their beards everyday.  You and everyone else has great looking beards with a very
minimal amount of washing.  On your waxing of the mustache, have you ever thought
of using unscented men's hairspray?  It will hold your mustache well off to the sides, it
also looks much more natural.

JakeH93 - I cannot remember, but it seemed like right away things were OK.  I figure
if I am washing with warm water I am still removing the dirt and much of the old oil.

Chuck - I have thought of using only water on my body, but I still use my Ivory on the
places that you mentioned.

Drezden - I would be curious of your current washing regimen.  I for awhile did not
scrub down to my skin.  When I did that I did get some dead skin buildup.  Now I take
my wide toothed comb and scrub with that once or twice a week and I have no problems.

Czech - How is that raw apple cider vinager working now?  Do you rinse with water after
the dunking?  I would think that you might have a slight vinegar smell.

Thanks Guys.
