Welcome!  I can only echo the accolades the other guys have given.  You're fortunate to have an exceptional beard, one that most any man, I think, would be proud to wear.  The color, texture, density, and coverage are outstanding!

The lines I quoted above are key, IMHO, in gaining your wife's acceptance.  A beard can be rough and unpleasant in the early phases but, with time and good maintenance, softens to the point that many of us find our wives come to not only accept but enjoy our beards.  For you that may be tougher, though.  My daughter has the same condition, hyperdermographia, as your wife and it's painful to watch even the smallest scratch become a welt.  I don't want to discourage you, especially because your beard is particularly fine, but your wife's condition may never reconcile with your desire to have a beard.
