bubbabeard Dealing with the mustache was one of the big mistakes I made during previous beard attempts. I always trimmed it so that it would stay out of my mouth, and by doing so I really made my entire beard look unbalanced. Pretty sure it was Tom here who first suggested I start "training" my stache to the sides with some wax and a brush. I had no idea that I had a fairly strong mustache until I started doing that.

I personally use Firehouse Tacky mustache wax, but there are other brands as well. Just heat a little bit up by rubbing it between your thumb and index finger and than kinda use it to part your hairs to the sides and down your connectors. It's not fool proof, but it works for me to keep the hairs out of my mouth during the day.
