I've had a few short episodes of sleep paralysis. I only had auditory hallucinations with it so far.

For some reason all the times it has happened I get an uncontrollable urge to try to scream and panic (which I can't), and once I snap out of it I get upset because I have been trying to learn how to lucid dream and sleep paralysis really is a good opportunity to practice.

Also for me every time it has happened I have been sleeping on my back with my head tilted around 30 degrees to the right (oddly specific I know, but it's weird).

Exactly the same for me. I really try my hardest to scream or thrash around in bed to wake myself us because I am completely aware, nowadays, that I am in sleep paralysis. Well, not always completely aware, but the idea will at least be in my head even if only momentarily. I do start to panic in my head - WHY THE FK CANT I MOVE OMG etc. I have also been trying to get into lucid dreaming, and this is indeed part of it...but it is hard to be in control depending on what dream put you into this state.
