You just have to tough through the intermediate mustache phase. It's rough for a few weeks, but a combo of blow-drying, wax, or even spiking glue helps a lot. It DOES get better with length, and if your goal is a big beard, a big mustache completes the look.

Yeah, I still get a mouthful of mustache now and then, but it's my hair, and I know it's clean, so it's just a minor nuisance. Ribs and corn on the cob will probably remain challenges forever, but we mostly eat them with friends, right? Let your friends have fun razzing you. They're just jealous of your fur anyway. :-)
