I'm with Kenny. Just let it grow. You have your avatar in front of you, so you know the hollywoodian looks awesome. You know you can pull a riker. You have two great fallback options. So why not go the full three months -- or even four -- and see what everything looks like?

If you think that 'weak' patches on cheeks cannot fill in decently in that period, don't look at MY wispiness for inspiration -- check out Gavlar in the 26 and over forum. His fortitude and cheek growth will astound you. Moral of the story? don't give up on the cheeks and shave them too soon. Trim, keep the beard from getting too long under the chin, but leave the cheeks alone. I am also thinking I may have to go four months before I have a decent impression of what is possible.
