After the great experience I had with my moustache coffee cup I was trying to find an equally well made moustache beer mug which would save me from droopy handlebar ends after the first few sips.
But unfortunately what was available was either rather unpleasing to the eye or couldn´t hold a full pint of liquid. I shared the idea about a solid beer mug/stein with the shop owner from whom I had bought the coffee mug and he said he would look into it and I had basically forgotten about it by now, so I was really excited when I received an email telling me about a new large moustache beer mug and asking me if I wanted one from the first trial run.
A few days later it arrived safe and sound in old Europe (in the same earthquake proof packaging as the coffee mug) and it has gotten a prime spot with the good beer steins since.
While aesthetics is always personal, I really like the design. It´s very earthy and solid without appearing boring or simple. It holds a full pint plus head and is really nice to drink from. The handle is sturdy and looks very well made.
Like the coffee mug it has a small rim across one part of the top end on which your whiskers rest and stay dry while you sip your beer from underneath. It took one or two trial sips, but felt completely natural after half a beer.
All in all it works really well for me and I am happy to have another dedicated piece of beard related kitchenware. Here are two pictures of the mug and again, a rather awkward action shot.
