You need to allow a minimum of 3 months as some areas can be slower growing, Jake. While your moustache is quite thin right now, give it another 10 weeks or so and give it a chance to grow out more and thicken up a bit.

I don't think it's ever too early to start using oils and grooming your beard. The most commonly used is jojoba oil. Others such as grapeseed, sesame and coconut oil are all good too. I mix a concoction of them and apply then brush into the beard with a boar bristle brush.

Good to see you're going for the 3 months, it may even possibly take longer which is why 6 months is a good goal, but at the 3 month stage we'll have a much better idea of your growth pattern.
