Not necessarily. Firstly, beard growth is governed by your genes. It's an incredible specific, individual thing - even with brothers, there can be a brother who can grow a beard and one who cannot. There's just that variance that can't be helped. 'Terminal length' is different for everybody, as much as beard colour or growth speed. Secondly, and sort of a tangent of that, is that even at your age, in your mid-twenties, your beard is still developing, the hairs are still maturing, there's tons of stuff going on that we can't see but a dermatologist would probably get excited over. You could find that a year of growth now would be less than a that in a decade, or possibly a handful of years.

It's all you can do is accept these facts and embrace your beard for what it is. Good on you for growing and sticking to it, mate.
