I've had a beard(various lengths) for the past 20 years. I've always thought that the cleaner it is, the better. Granted, I've never went past the 3 month point, but even at that length, I find my beard feeling very oily/greasy. Would washing with only water get rid of that feeling? Or is it good to have oily beard hair. Right now, I'm using a biotin shampoo from GNC health store. I'm just entering my fourth month of growth and plan on going for at least six months. I have decent growth/density and coverage but tend to get impatient with my beard growth. I've never wanted a BIG beard until I started seeing them on this board. I guess I can try the no shampoo route for awhile and see what happens. I just wanted to know that the oily feeling in my beard is normal and actually healthy. Thanks and I'll be posting some 4 month pics next month.
