I don't know whether I want to see it all just grow naturally, or for you to start considering carving options to highlight your dominant shapes. I like what I currently see, but until something really jumps out at me, I don't have suggestions to make it better. So I say grow on til your beard has a lightbulb moment.

I hear ya, jayd, I'm on the fence everyday! I've been tempted to clean the cheeks up and cut it back a bit to go for the "Ryker" look. I like that look and think it might suit me and my growth patterns. But there is another part of me that just wants to see what will happen if I leave it. I'm in the fortunate position of not having to keep my employer happy which is huge. The only thing I really have to worry about is keeping my wife off my ass, unfortunately, that is no small feat.

Sticking to a time goal is very helpful for me - it let's me think about options but keeps me from doing something prematurely. Above all else I don't want to look back on my beard experiment and feel like I just didn't give it enough time. Plus if I decide to carve once I get to the goal my wife will be thrilled with me and I might get a no hassle beard out of it!

Thanks for the feedback.

Cheers,
Jon
