Greetings once again kind men! Thank you all for replying and sharing your wisdom.

@ChefChris: The longest period without shaving for me was probably about 1 week. I get a lot of growth in selected regions and the beard starts looking really 'patchy'. I should probably overcome my embarrassment and push on! All my friends have really thick beards and my ego starts tormenting me... I should definitely fight that. Thank you for your input man! Much Appreciated!

@Patrick Beard: Man your beard is beyond awesome! You are right! I will try doing just that. I think I can rock a stache and soul patch successfully. My goatee however is somewhat separated and would probably look strange.

@kcfutures84: Thanks kind Sir! I intend on doing just that.

@McGoose: I'm so grateful for your answer Erik! I hope the potential is really there... I should have given it a proper try earlier.

@AmericanEuroMutt: Thank you for your input man! Much appreciated.

Not I have my morale boosted by your wisdom and encouragements I decided to give it a go and not shave for as long as I can. A huge advantage is that I am a UI/UX designer and I work from a home office so there's no one to instill grooming habits on me.

I will surely listen to @McGoose's advice and avoid minoxidil at all costs. Being a vasodilator, I am stunned at how many people just go ahead and use it like it's some kind of herbal lotion. Now if after some months of not shaving I still decide to go for the 'alternative' routes I might experiment with some supplements, diets and would most certainly go have my testosterone levels checked.

I will probably keep a journal and post progress once weekly.

A question pops in my head so I'll go ahead and ask you... Since I will not be 'wet shaving', can I trim my beard with a 'trimmer' periodically or should I just let it grow wild?

Thanks once again guys! You are helping a lot!
