Hi guys. So, was browsing the board a little today. I admit I hadn't planned to do any shaping of the beard, but I saw Captain Red Beard's thread about his recent trim, and was mighty impressed by the shape. Now mine's nowhere near as big as his, but I think the longer under the chin look like he wears is one I might aspire to when mine reaches bigger proportions. I also like the look jasjes has, of being a bit neater round the edges but still full. So I decided to shape mine up just a little. A minor surface trim, and tidied the edges a little. Not so much as to have to shave a neckline, as has been my mistake in the past. Now usually at this point I would have given the 'tache a once-over with the scissors as well, but decided to leave it alone - and I quite liked the effect. I'm kind of digging the tache being a bit longer in relation to the beard, which is a new thing for me. Maybe I'm finally getting the hang of this trimming thing? Just need to avoid the pitfall of thinking it needs tweaking and then eventually messing it up. So what do the experts think? Any criticism/future trimming advice welcome.
