Thanks for the comments, guys. You really are too kind. I believe if you saw my beard in person you wouldn't be so impressed. I only post the photos that make it look good. As for the comment from dennisg about WBMC 3013... My stache relies heavily on the beard to look good. Yeah, it's long, but it's also very light in color and quite fine in texture. It really needs the dark beard behind it to show properly.
I'm an American with scandinavian bloodlines, not Danish, however. Norwegian and Swedish, believe it or not. My sister-in-law is married to a Dane and they live in Copenhagen now but they're planning on moving to the US very soon. I visited them early in this century and was intrigued by freetown, hence the t-shirt. I had a short, full beard when I visited and I remember seeing very few beards but several people commented on mine. She says that beards are becoming very popular there. (probably following the same trend as here in the states...) but I joke with her that I started the beard trend in Copenhagen.
Earlier this week someone asked me when I was going to shave. I told her that as of right now I have no intentions to ever cut this beard but I was sure it would be trimmed at sometime down the road. The conversation continued and I started thinking about when that time would be. I remembered a comment from kplandes about healthy boundaries or the like, in response to my sarcastic comment about keeping it trimmed above my pecker to keep from pissing on it. Well, I guess that's when it will be trimmed... when it becomes unhealthy or unhygienic. Or when it gets to a point where it doesn't look good to me. I truly thought that day would have come by now, but I'm still generally happy with my beards appearance. Good days, bad days, of course. As a matter of fact the whole second part of July and the beginning of August were pretty bad, but I never thought of cutting it...
Blah, blah, blah... That last picture sucked, eh?
My bucket's got a hole in it.
