The urge to shave after the beard is established is a very common trait among first timers. You really don't know how much you miss it until it is gone.

I know your beard did not quite meet your expectations, but you gotta believe us when we say that most people will just see it as a regular, normal beard. They won't see unevenness or other flaws that you see by scrutinizing it carefully in the bathroom mirror. Often on the 2nd beard and after 6 months or so, your mind stops worrying about stuff like that and you'll wonder why you made such a fuss over them.

I suggest regrowing soon...sort of a "get back on the horse" kind of thing. Otherwise you will soon forget all the trials and tribulations you went through, and you'll be back to square one.

Patience shall be rewarded!
