I live in a pretty nice building where we bought our condo not so long ago. When you first move here, it feels weird coming and going in workout wear or what not, but I've gotten used to it since I'm a runner, and outside is where I go to run. So tonight I'm getting on the elevator, and some woman visiting somebody else in the building got on, and carried on with some remark about not expecting to see such an "outdoorsman" (a grubby, sweaty, stinking one at that) in the lobby of such a nice high rise condo building. I looked at her, laughed, and told her I don't stay trim sitting around eating, and she ought to give it a try, too. I was like, REALLY, you don't live here as I do, but you're going to criticize me for wearing my running clothes on my way in from my run? And call me an "outdoorsman" because of the beard? REALLY??? Talk to the hand.
