Thanks for all the "welcome back" wishes and compliments.
@Antirazor Guy - The teaching practicum is really hectic, busy, and stressful. I was happy when I could find time to sleep much less anything else. Currently, I'm just finishing up marks for the students and preparing for my summer semester of course work which starts in May.
@Crockett - Thanks for the compliment. I trim my moustache with scissors where my lips meet. I leave the tips a bit longer than the mid section as I like the look it gives. I have a moustache comb I use as I trim to make sure all the hairs are lined up properly and I comb the tips forward when I trim to make sure they are even and properly blended. I especially appreciate the compliment about Michael McDonald's beard (shown below)

@Mr sftd, WeirdyWithABeardy, Fork, Jk80, aBeardedDan - Thanks. The school where I did my practicum was very facial hair friendly. I was also there during my short practicum in the fall and during Movember many teachers were growing moustaches. In any case, I met many teachers with moustaches and beards during the course of my entire time there.
@Kp - Thanks, I actually used my beard as a way to get to know students. I took a picture of my Halloween costume in (Zach Galifianakis from The Hangover), and when I introduced myself at the beginning of the semester, I showed the picture and the students really liked it.
@JTM - Much appreciated - I like salt and pepper colouring too, and I expect my beard is slowly heading in that direction. I had some bearded teachers in high school; I like the connection.
@Saka, KaMiKaZe - Thanks, It's nice to be back.
@Max - Thanks, I take any comparisons to Zach Galifinakis' beard as a big compliment.
@Jason - Much appreciated - I hope some of the grooming tips are helpful.
@FallonsBeard - Thanks, and I'm glad you gave the full beard a go; it is an excellent style choice for you.
@Fullbeard & UnreallxXx - Thanks gentlemen, I'm definitely glad to be back.
