Ahh, ok. That was about 1" in length if I recall correctly. I trimmed any stray hairs regularly at this point. I would only cut them enough to match up with the other hairs around them. I also cut a very low neckline, basically only a few hairs that seemed to grow lower than my natural neckline. This keeps the beard looking neat while it is growing out. Although it might seem like the beard would just maintain it's length if you do this, since you only cut the fast growers, you are basically just buying some time for the slower ones to catch up. You can probably get to 1" in about 3-4 months using this technique. So basically doubling the time to reach the desired length.
