Every time I look at myself in the mirror I see the hairless patch on my left cheek. And I really hate it! It's making me feel like shaving the beard off! It's so annoying :S and It doesn't seem to be filling up anytime soon. I can let it all grow naturally for a while if I didn't have that patch on my left cheek, and I've been thinking to carve into a chinstrap. But I'm not sure yet. Any suggestions?
First of all, your feelings are quite normal.

That said, I strongly suggest you simply stop looking at yourself in the mirror. It will play tricks on your mind. You will see things that nobody else sees, partly because of the harsh artificial lighting, partly because you are focusing on the less dense areas and doing so much closer than another person would see you, and partly because we all have insecurities about how we look.

If you avoid mirrors and just commit to 2 months or more growth, these "problems" will probably go away. Slower growers may emerge or maybe you will do carving to show off your best coverage. Either way, shaving is no answer.
