Lewis: I can't help you with a substitute for JFM but I can tell you that in my 40's I used it on my circle beard. It does not look natural by all means. In my early 20's my beard started to turn gray. It first started in the temple area and gradually work its way towards my chin. My beard is pretty much all white now and I'm 55. Wish this board would have been here back 15 years ago that would have given me the courage to not dye the beard. In my opinion, gray or white in a beard add character. I actually compliment guys on how much gray or white they have in their beards. Embrace what you have and enjoy it.
