This link as well as this one may be of help to you. Beards and moustaches are said to aid in preventing throat problems in acting as a filter. Of course, the most obvious benefits are protecting your skin by shielding your face from excessive sun in the summer, and bitter winds in the winter. Also, in the winter, a beard can help to keep your face warm by holding in your body heat. Another benefit includes relief from shaving for those with skin problems. Many men suffer from skin conditions that are aggravated by shaving daily. There are many other benefits of being bearded, but I would consider them more psychological than health benefits. I'm not sure if you want to get into that aspect of it all. There is of course the natural boost in self confidence, the fact that a beard is the secondary male sex characteristic, and how that effects man's perception of himself. Also, how is he perceived by women sexually. Does having a beard make a man more attractive to women? I believe it is a matter of natural instinct. Many say being bearded makes them feel more like an individual, or how they were meant to be. Also, many believe bearded men are more approachable and perceived as trustworthy more often than not. There are many things to discuss on this subject. I could go on, but I'll let someone else chime in.

There are two kinds of people in this world that go around beardless, boys and women, and I am neither one.
