My mustache is where I have questions for you all. I noticed while I was in Paris that the ends were brittle and were so thick, they looked like they wanted to start splitting. I have been using oil nearly every day on my mustache with positive results. Yesterday I wore my mustache in a walrus-horseshoe style. I do not know the name for that. It is now in my collection of styles I can wear. I have two issues with mustache: 1. I cannot get the ends to stay together. 2. The ends point in different directions despite use of product.
1. I have tried got2be gel-glue, pomade, mustache wax, and other products with no success. The damn ends of my mustache always look like a frayed rope end. I contacted a mustache master on Instagram and he told me that my mustache has bulk all the way across, which makes it more difficult to manage at the ends. 2. My mustache points in different directions despite the use of the same products. I have been training it harder than Bela Karoyi did as a gymnastics coach.
You can see in the photos below what I am mean for both. Do any of you have any suggestions?
My sides are stronger than ever. Like their brother in the front, the sides are also wavy. I just do not understand how the waviness occurs. My hair up top is straighter than Hugh Heffner, so...who knows. No complaints though; one more quirk about the whole thing. I added balm application to my daily routine and it has made a significant difference. I now have much more control over strays and the shape of my beard.
I am on the record here stating that I do not want a significant trim for awhile, or until Tom tells me that it is time. Tom and I have discussed my current status, and no changes are imminent. Having a longer beard is something I have always wanted. It feels pretty damn great to have achieved this goal.
