imaginary....We do at times need to be careful on words we use within a international site such as this so as not to cause offence, an example, the word '!%!' in the UK is a slang meaning for cigarette but can have a completely different meaning with you guys across the pond!
Gatorbeard.....I also like my natural colouring, this dye job is just out of curiosity while my beard is cropped short & will grow out in no time if that's my wish!
Rothenberger.....I'm game for a laugh at times Bare faced!! never say never!
Beard69......I'll probably Ping-Pong back to au natural come the Autumn, not to sure about the coloured beard!
Triibeard.....It is very cool in the hot weather, a welcome change for the summer.
baldbandit......If I decide to keep dyeing, the jury's still out on that at present, then I would consider applying a womans hair product as could be more permanent.
veeceejr....She who must be obeyed now thinks she's got a toy boy for a husband, not sure if that's a good thing or not, hav'nt got the stamina I used to have if you get my drift !!!
BladeAverse.....I am enjoying the summer & the new look but as mentioned above, could just be temporary until Autumn.
Pandarocks.....So true Sir although I'm looking younger with this look I don't believe I could compete with those young bucks in the gym anymore so maybe it's time to grow old gracefully & accept I'm a man in his late 60's but still young at heart!
Well it's been 9 days since the dye job & as can be seen from the attached photo the grey is showing through. I'm in two minds whether to give a second application of JFM or to trim back to grey again. My thoughts are if I dye on top of the existing colour it could turn out darker than I would like so mabe I will go again knowing that if I don't like it my beard is short enough to trim right back without loosing a fully grown beard.
Next instalment in a weeks time.

Have fun if you continue to experiment with it. As you say, if you don't like the result, it will be easy to get rid of it and grow back your natural beard.
My thoughts exactly, had I attempted this experiment on a fully grown out beard & disliked the out come It would have grieved me to shave & start over, this way if the look was a disaster, a shave & then a month I'd be back to a short beard ready to grow out again.
I have to say that over the time I've been on this forum I've come to the conclusion that my sweet spot regarding length has been around the 3'' mark. This could be that I'm a self trimmer & possibly not doing a professional job so when my beard exceeds 4'' it looks to full in places,i,e the cheeks so my next ''experiment'' could be to grow long, find a stylist adept with beard trimming & keep it looking professionally trimmed, could be the way to go!
