You are getting more coverage as expected but it is developing strongest from the cheek line down and it usually develops strong along the jaw and moves up. The good news is that your jawline hair is starting to fill in between the cheek line and jaw areas. Just keep it all growing and you should see more being filled in.
I think your front coverage is looking especially good... mostly because of your very wide stache and the dark hair coming along on the chin.

It is filling in some each week and you are hanging in there like a trooper, so at this stage, give it a few more weeks and see how much more you get on the sides. You may find that when you reach 4 months growing, the full beard is showing enough for you to keep it.
One thing for sure... you are very young and likely have far more beard than your peers. That in itself is a motivator to keep it all growing and if you do that, it's going to continue to get better each month.
If you get to the point where it's not acceptable, then carve to a chinstrap and keep the front growing full. There's no way you give up that great looking stache/goatee combo... definitely giving you an older look.
Keep the updates coming and be a motivator for others your age.

It seems you are getting a combination of added length and new coverage This is now showing the result of a more complete side. It is good that this is starting to happen so early in your journey... I thought it might take another month before you saw these kinds of improvements. Some beards develop quite rapidly in the 16-17 years and you appear to have one of those beards. This is not to say that you will have a full beard at 3 months growing, but I think you will have an acceptable full beard at that time.
When a guy your age accepts the fact that his beard is in the early stages of development, it makes it easier for him to accept small gains... even telling of them with excitement as you are doing. You need to use that same mental progress in interactions with the young gals you want to come to know... not showing your excitement for each new hair you come upon, but that you are excited to already be able to grow some beard at your age. So I would not change up your style just so you could start a relationship with a gal... but I would keep the stragglers tamed because that gives the impression of laziness.
Keep the updates coming... even 2 week intervals will be good now.
