Kramer's 9 week progress |
Lead | |
|
I'm finally back from my camping adventure and I have reached the 9-week mark. It's getting lot bigger than I thought it would get. I have about one
month left in my journey, which I hope to finish. I can only image how big it's going to get. I fear that near the end of August I will need to be
clean-shaven (or at least just short stubble). I will have reached my 3-month goal but I no doubt will miss the dead beast attached to my face. I am also posting a picture that I took during the Windsor/Detroit fireworks show for Canada Day/Independence Day. Lots of friends
think that it looks like bearded fireworks. I've always wondered what an exploding chemical fire in the sky tribute to beardage would look
like.

Your excellent shaping work has continued. If you decide to trim down or shave off by your own free will, I'll respect that. I wish it won't be
necessary, but I know you'll grow your beard again when you can.

Kramer,
The beard is looking great and definitely densifying. It will be fun to see it at the end of the three months. I am sad to hear that you may have to shave it off, but rest assured that you can always regrow it and know beforehand how well it suits you.

It is looking great Kramer, I have just reached the benchhmark of when it really starts to puff out and take a shape of it's own too, it is a shame to hear
you may have to shave but I suppose the reason will be a valid one, fingers crossed you won't need too and great progress so far, BC is right, it sure will
be interesting to see it in another month.

Nice bulking up. It's great to see how it looks all grown out hu? I enjoyed the process a lot. When I trimmed recently, I didn't trim the stache and
chin. I just couldn't make myself trim the whole thing. It'll be fun watching yours for at least a little longer though.

That looks great, Kramer. You could grow a really massive beard if you let it go for a year. I've been in your shoes so many times in the past where
I'd hit the two-three month mark, and for one reason or another, I'd have to shave. But I still had a fun time with it. I was always messing around
with short-lived transitional styles, like goatees or moustaches, just before I had to go "clean." Now, I am lucky that I can entertain longer
grow-shave cycles than I used to.
If you have to give it up for reasons not of your choosing, so be it. Like BC said, take comfort in the fact that you'll be able to grow back a fantastic beard in the future, should you choose. |

Kramer,
Your beard suits you well. I hope you can trim down to a "professional beard" to keep. With your density however, it may be high maintainance for you. It depends what you want to wear from this point forward. Remaining bearded is definitely an option for you. I hope you consider all the options open to you. All the best.

Thanks for the comments. I managed to keep it for the one photo job. I am starting to really get used to it and I was looking to grow a big beard and it is
just now starting to fill outwards. I will probably know by the end of the week if it will be staying or going. All of he great feedback has definately made me
fight to keep it.

Just my two cents -- it would be a shame if that nice looking beard disappeared or got trimmed down to stubble!
