Beard Friendly Posts: 44 (06/23/09 17:25:02) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None Hey guys, I'm 18, I started off with a strap and cleaned it regularly-ish.. but since joining I want to grow it all out.. and because of this my girlfriend hates all of you lol But aside from my girlfriends hatred of beards.. was wondering what you guys could tell my of my current growth.. the strap is about a month.. the stubble is around 2 weeks Here's a side shot Here's a better quality more close up one.. do you think I should get rid of the hairs nearer to my nose they don't seem to fit in? Here's one from underneath my neck. Following DanoFromCO's advice I'm just going to let it all fill in.. till Christmas then start trimming.. or do you think it's ok to trim sooner? What do you guys think so far any ideas or anything? Cheers!

So you think I shouldn't shape a neck line as such.. but grow everything on my face?

Beard Elite Posts: 299 (06/23/09 17:56:13) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	lower the cheek line a little, most of the people that let their beards grow tend to shave their necks but is your decision as for now if you dont really care looking like bum haha then dont shave anything at all for like 2 months and then shape your neck and the weird hairs near your eye lol but i think if youd shave your neck your girlfriend wont give you much crap about it

Any reccomended number to keep the beard trimmed on? Want it quite thick and dark.

I recommend just sitting back and enjoying the experiance, you'll find that each week will look better and better. your lucky you allready have the strap, people around you are used to you having facial hair so i doubt you will get any negatives. Good luck with the beard and keep on growing you will never know what it will look like till you try.

I'm letting everything grow out for two months, and I haven't done that in a few months (I get stupid and forget the 24 hour rule and end up carving it). So I'm just gonna see what kind of potential I've got. On topic; I'd say go for the full beard. I'm not sure why the stache doesn't grow on you. I bet it grows but you just haven't given it enough time. Ever considered a full beard without the connectors just yet? It looks like you could grow an awesome one.

Experiment, leave it all grow but after a while form a cheekline. As for the neckline, let it creep down. By summer's end you'll have a beard many men will envy. Happy growing! I'm aiming for Christmas but I imagine I'll give in and start shaping in a month or something, it's just got to the itchy stage. Whenever I let it grow this long I get a few spots under my beard, is this normal? I don't normally get many spots at all but when I grow it this long I get a few on my cheeks an neck? Does anyone else get this?
