I think certain teens should try shaving everyday or every 2 days, for atleast 2-3 months. Basically as soon as they get something they can shave.
I'm not saying do this permenatly, but just like growing facial hair is an interesting experiment on yourself, shaving it for 2-3 months can be too.
I'm 19 with a okay density but patchy in areas light beard capability, I currently have longish sideburns, so it's not like I have an epic beard and
I'm saying everyone who doesnt should get rid.
What I am saying is that at our age, our beards are developing a lot, although at times it doesn't seem like it because you have no new growth since last
week 
however if you shave everyday and never see what you're
capable of growing for 2-3 months, when you let it grow after such a long period of shaving constantly, you're bound to notice improvements.
I've done this before back in september and I'm thinking about doing it again. At the moment I just keep my patchy stubble for 3 or 4 days then shave,
or shave more frequently if I'm doing something, like going to a club or party or something.
I do really advise it though, who would consider it?
I know it goes against the whole tone of this board BUT...

I actually agree with this. If you're shaving clean lines every day, you avoid falling into the trap of watching the grass grow and being impatient.
Shaving for a couple months at a time and then letting it grow out for a couple of weeks has the benefit of, "oh wow, where did that come from?"
Of course, I also believe as soon as you're capable of sporting a certain style, you should go for it and then just maintain those clean lines. I would advise against shaving every day for a period of years at a time though. I made that mistake in my late teens up until my age now (22), and now I can't really tell when certain areas filled in. I wish I would've started tracking my progress every few months or so sooner, as it is encouragement that your beard isn't done developing yet. |

That's exactly what I'm doing now, can't see if my beard is any better but I'll know if I grow it for 4 months as I did last time, big changes

Yeah, I definitely know this feeling. I've shaved regularly for a few months, then let it grow out for a week, and it's a major surprise to see how
much more coverage there is and how colours are changing in the whiskers and all that jazz.

I've been doing this for the last year or so, and it definetely helps me notice improvements and makes me feel better about my beard.
I wasn't able to do this until about a year ago because my highschool has a very strict "No facial hair" policy, but since graduation I grow it out for a while every few months, and I've noticed quite a bit of improvement. I'm honestly kind of glad I just shaved everyday throughout highschool, without worrying about it, because I never stressed over not having much facial hair. |

Not a bad idea. I shaved the sides of my face every day forever because I had hardly any cheek hair. It was one of the best suprises when I figured out that my
beard had filled in.
