Last three weeks I have been trying to grow a goatee with stache. I wish my moustache would be thicker than it is, but as a big admirer of facial hair, I guess I'll have to make the best from what I have. Pics are below, opinions are appreciated: here's also a pic of my goatee of how it looked exactly one year ago, there doesn't seem to be allot of improvement this time around.

Remember you are at best halfway to your potential, and more likely only about a third or a quarter of the way. Give it a good 8-12 weeks and only trim the very bottom hairs of the stache at the lip line if they get annoying. Do not trim above that line or you'll set your progress back. Overall, I think you will have an awesome circle beard if you just keep it growing, avoid mirrors for awhile, and don't obsess over every imperfection. Patience shall be rewarded!

The goatee looks great though. 2009 New Year's Resolution: Experiment with every kind of facial hair style.

You're probably right I shouldn't complain about the 'stache since it's still less then a month old. So far things are going good and I have done nothing except shaving the scruff around the chin-area to keep the goatee looking neat. I've never grown for so long as 8-12 weeks, it will be a incredible test of patience for me, lol. I think my goatee already has reached the full potential though. Still might be nice for the stache to get long enough to cover up those bare spots at the mouth-corners to create those fake 'connectors', haha. Seth: Yea, I guess you're right. Phantom: the hairs on my cheeks are so sparse that if I would let them grow you would barely notice them! A full beard, chinstrap or chops seem to be lightyears away from me, sadly. (the full beard in my avatar is fake) I'll be posting updates soon!
