I think having it long on the sides distracts from the short bit in the front. Congrats!! As for the beard balm attempts, please keep your results coming. I am interested in attempting at some point as well. I purchased a tin of beard balm from Dan that was 30ml/1oz. He also sent me a sample of another scent that was maybe 15ml/.5oz. Am not sure if it is a variation of the homemade product or the packaing size or just living in the desert but the larger 30ml package is considerably "harder" than the 15ml. Trying to two, I find I like the softer/creamier consistency better. More like a firm oil if you will. I've enjoyed mixing up oil but have not tried balm at this point as it seems more difficult to get right. Love seeing your experiments! Cheers!

Now, if you were intentionally trying to make a wax would you increase the amount of beeswax in your recipe or add a bit more? Cheers, Troy

I am just starting to explore using any kind of products on my beard and there seem to be so many out there as to be a bit overwhelming but it is interesting to know that if I don't find the perfect products I can start working on my own. I already have most of the ingredients you used. I only do unscented products so that limits it quite a bit but I am looking forward to receiving my first order which should be on the way now.
