A very long time! Like at least a few weeks... and then you'll roughly start to get an idea. Some people grow slower so it can take ever longer to see
what's REALLY there.
At 15, your chances of having great beardedness are lower, but it's still def worth a shot. Just don't shave for a month or so and see what it looks like then. You'll be able to see what kind of potential you have then Actually growing a nice beard takes much, much longer than that, too, of course. |

Hi Bears. Welcome to the board. Wait 4-6 weeks, then see what you have to work with. I didn't start shaving until 16 1/2, and you're only 15! Nice! The
fact that you are 15 and already are noticing some hair on the face is a great sign that you are going to be a bearded man.

There's really two answers...if you have some potential at all, then you should let it grow 3 months at your age before you really know your full
potential.
If you have very sparse growth after a few days, like you can count the number of hairs easily, then you're probably just starting to develop and a beard is several months or years into your future. If you show us a pic after a few days growth, then we can tell you whether it is worth giving it a shot.
Patience shall be rewarded!

Hey Danko, when you say that you didn't start shaving until 16 1/2, do you mean you literally never had to put a razor to your face or are you referring to never having to shave your entire face until then? I had to shave my upper lip at 14, which I only had to do like once a month but I really didn't have to shave my entire face until I was right around 20. |

It switches off between the two sides from what I've noticed. Your body does things in stages, including facial hair. Ancestry always tends to factor into
the final result, but I'm not good at that part so I'll leave it at that.

I am almost 15 and i just started shaving two days ago. How long will this take? My dad can grow a mustache and a goatee but thats pretty much it. I dont think
im really ready for a whole beard but i want to be able to grow a stache or a goatee or something.

Welcome to the board, Gage, but you have hijacked someone else's thread. Open a thread of your own with some pics of the present state of your facial
hair/stubble and we might be able to give you some indication of your possible progress. However, if you have only just started shaving I doubt whether you
will be able to grow anything significant for at least a year or so. Best of luck.

well you are 15 so you most likely cant grow a lot right now. i know a 15 year old who can grow a beard faster than most adult men and im 18 and i can grow a
weak goatee at best.

Ohh my apologies for hijacking.
I dont really know how to use this website yet. Yeah even if i dont shave it doesnt really come in at all. I barely can get some what of hair on my upper lip. Not enough to call it a mustache yet though. |
