The growing of a beard has been an unbelievable journey for me. Here is a picture chronicle of the process so far, I hope you like it...

super job and beard! Too bad you did not capture week one and two for your beard journey! The stubble beard is the birth of the beard. Very important!

I believe that your beard grows at a very fast rate. The whiskers are simply awesome. Perhaps you find yourself preferring a large beard. It looks big now.
Some of us do. Nothing wrong with short beards though, but there are those of us who like having something to tug on.
Happy "bearding"

Bobby... thanks for the compliment.
stubble stud... I wish I had pictures of the beginning too! Unfortunately for me, I found this website at week 5. The only reason I have a week 3 picture is because of Christmas. danko... I like the longer beard, but have not decided if I will keep it through the summer or not. It has been near 80 degrees this week, and it is starting to bother me some. I had an original goal of one year, however, if I can make it 4 more weeks I will be at 6 months. That is pretty good for a person who has never grown a full beard before. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bearded 1,
Your photographic chronicle is impressive indeed! Six months is just around the corner. Have you pondered a shorter beard for the summer months? This fall you can continue growing. By this time next year you may have the longer beard you may want to try. Maybe you should consider Danko's suggestion; just at a later date.

I'm sure you'll be able to make 6 months. That's a more than respectable mark, especially for a first time beard grower. I'm just a few weeks
from that myself, but my beard doesn't grow nearly as fast as yours. And I have to add that I think your current look is far better than your clean-shaven
look. Your beard adds strength, wisdom, and authority to your appearance. You were clearly meant to be bearded. Hopefully you'll just switch to a shorter
beard for the summer months, as suggested by acroesh, and return to the longer beard for the colder seasons.

That's a remarkable saga you have unfolded before us. As sleepy says, you were definitely meant to be bearded. I like the look of your beard best between
weeks 5 and 7, but that's just my personal taste and opinion.
Keep growing. Stay bearded! wulff |

Your 3 weeks beard is amazing. It looks like a complete beard already.

As nice as any beard on the site, and even more than that, an incredibly "even" chronicling as far as the taking of the pictures themselves, from the
perfectly-same angle and distance, very similar lighting, great cropping so that the area shown is virtually identical each time. I don't know if
you're taking them yourself, or having your wife or a friend do it or what, and if you're doing the cropping yourself, but it's an awesome job.
A set of pics worthy of beards.org. You should send them there as well! Great job all the way around, and keep it going! |

ncbeardguy, thanks for the compliments.
I took most of the pictures myself, with my wife taking the other 2 or 3. I did the cropping and sorting the other night in Photoshop. I love me some Photoshop. I only wish I had a picture of every week, unfortunately I found this site at week 5. Oh well, I am less than 4 weeks away from 6 months now, so there is no going back. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think you're an inspiration to a lot of people on here. It's really helpful to be able to see how a beard grows and changes over time. Seeing your
beard come in helps give others the courage to be patient and give their beard a chance to fully develop rather than give up on it after a few weeks.
