Beard Wizard Posts: 7983 (08/19/07 16:47:16) Administrator More My Recent Posts	I do not believe there is a direct relationship, however I believe acne is the symptom of the same hormonal changes that happen with puberty. So effectively the changes happening in your body as you are becoming a man are causing your zits and will also cause your beard to grow. I remember, though, that some of the guys with the worst acne at, say 13 or 14, were often the earlier developers of beards...and for them, shaving made it much worse. I think your brother tells you this because most guys develop facial hair at about the same age when they have zids (puberty and after). I had quite some acne when I was "younger" (under 17) but no sign of something you'd call a beard back then. "A man without beard is like a cat without tail."
