My strong point is my goatee so naturally that is what I have always sported. I've had a mustace that I sported but not so often because it wasn't super strong. These days the mustache is great so I'm wearing it. My connectors recently exploded. All this equals a good circle beard so that's what I have now. Currently I'm experimenting with growing a full beard. I have some pretty bad bald patches but if they cover up nicely then I will be happy. I will not however be happy...

This thread really got me thinking...about how I used to spend so much time attempting to copy somebody else's beard style, only to become frustrated because it NEVER grew like I wanted it. Had I learned to accept my strengths and weaknesses, I would have been much farther ahead by working with what I had and defining my own style. It's really true that no two beards are alike. Celebrate your individuality.

i guess my strength is in my jaw area so a chinstrap maximizes it, but i have recentley begun to dislike chinstraps so now i rock all of my facial hair.

Hello all, seems as good a place as any for a first post.

I tried growing a beard in my mid teens with a little success but shaved it off because I felt it was lacking in fullness.
I stayed clean shaven for a year or two before letting it grow in and what a difference a little time makes.
That was nearly 20 years ago and my chin hasnt seen daylight since and never will again.

Andrew48, yes 50 DOES rock!! I have as much facila hair now at 50 as I did when I was 27. Oddly enough more on mthe top of my head as I was starting to go bald in my early 40's. Now at 50, along with a major full beard coming in, I'm getting hair back.

Enjoy 50, it's truly wonderful & I've never been happier!!

My beardgrowth was very few until I was about 33 Years old. I use Tribulus since ca. 10 Years. I usually make two treatments a year. The first in Juli/August/Sept., the second start in November until february. I had good results since that time. Using Zinc-Orotat and a Vitamin-Mineral-supply, I have gained very good results. Up to my age at 30 years, there was as good as no beard-growth. Now I am wearing a thick goatee. My cheeks are in these days develping many hairs....

hey, i am 20 and cannot grow a full beard, no connectors, nothing, the most hair is on my chin and burns and that doesn't even look good, pretty much my only goal is to grow a full beard, and that is serious i have always been fascinated with beards but nothing else seems to work.

Great looking stache and goat, looks good with your hair. I think you could grow a neat handlebar stache, it would set your goat off great.

Thanks for the supportive response. Good to make contact with you. Like you, I've gone through several different configurations. I'm happy with my current beard. I'm letting my hair grow for now, just 'cause I can. The 'stache will extend into a bit of a handlebar. I'm focusing on exercising and healthful eating. I'll stop by here more regularly from now on.

Thanks Beardster, I'm glad you think the hair, goatee and 'stache look good as they are. It's much easier to let them grow naturally. We'll see how long the hair gets.

Hello old buddy! Your hair style gives you a much younger look. I had to look twice before I recognized you. I like your current setup. Your stache and goatee are very strong by any standards. Of all your renditions, this one scores highest for me.

I don't think you need to trim at all. It all works together with what you're saying is the "curly kid' look. And I mean this as a compliment Wahl.

My advice, don't mess with your goat or hair! The rough cut on your goat and hair are a natural fountain of youth for you. So don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Leave well enough alone.
