Hi Fue, Great posts, thanks for the info.... I posted more on my topic, check it out if you like. I too feel that minox is generally unproven, as people here dont seem to post before/after pics as often as is needed for specific confirmation of benefits or lack thereof. There are some pics I have seen,that are impressive, but even with that the idea of continually taking a drug for 'possible' benefits over a 'long term' seems unlikely for me. Thanks again FUE.

Here's my long overdue update:

Recap:
In August 2006 I had a small 50 graft test procedure to see how the scaring would heal. Donations came from my beard area and were moved to the upper boundary of the hair on my lower lip. In April 2007 I had a larger 326 graft procedure that was almost entirely scalp hair.

Hello. Not sure if I'm replying to fue goatee or just posting....

I've consulted with a few of the well known hair transplant surgeons here in Manhattan, all seem to do beard work but all take the hair from the back of the head. As I have fine hair I haven't been very reassured by their statements that these will look fine as sideburns or as a beard.

I do have a beard but have basically ruined it over the years due to TTM, that's another...

I'd also like to add that I recently found a picture of my face from 2001 and I compared it to one taken in the spring of 2007. In both shots I have the hair cut to approximately the same length and they look identical. I know a lot of people give the advice that facial hair continues to develop over the years, but those pictures showed that I gained nothing in that time.

This is going to sound stupid, but letting your hair grow out a little bit really does make a huge...

Here's my 9 month update

I had a follow up appointment in the end of December and prior to that appointment I decided that the donor scars on my scalp are noticeable if you know what you're looking for. I decided that extracting additional grafts from the scalp could push me over that fine line between having scars no one notices to having clearly visible scaring. Once you go over that line you can't go back. I still want more...
