That is definayely a good growth for 17, as said, keep growing and then evaluate what is best in terms of style.

The 'stache often grows more slowly than the rest of the beard, so you need to give it plenty of time in order to find out its potential. I know that when I grew my first moustache I was not very sure that it would turn out OK, but patience paid off and I was happy with...

Welcome to the board! Grow out what you can. I'm sure most schools are out for the summer. Grow it all out, keep what is most dense. Who knows what you can grow, until you just do it! You may have a fairly good beard on your face desperately wanting to show itself! You may have a full beard and not be aware of it. Let your beard have its way with your face! Definitely ahead of the curve on growth. This is a fairly typical pattern...strong neck working its way up.

You have lots of options at this point. A chinstrap/chin curtain, goatee, possibly 'stache as well though I can't see it that well.

Why not let it all grow for a few weeks and then decide what to do?
