PKBeard... I am sorry to hear of your fall from the wagon. I am sure you can make it to 12 weeks no problem. Friday will be 16 weeks for me, and this is my first attempt. If I can do it, anyone can. Grow big PK!

Confession time. A few weeks after this photo I shaved. No real reason. I just did. I'm one week into not shaving again so I'm back on the bearded path. This is going to be my fourth time growing a beard. Each time I get more enjoyment out of the beard growing process and each time I get more comfortable with maintaining my beard. I'm not exactly sure what style I'm going for, or if I'll even stick with any one particular style for too long. I like change.

I am not in a,position to offer much in the way of trimming advice I'm affraid, but just wanted to say how much I admired your beard. It certainly looks very thick and full to me. Glad that you are pleased with it, and that you are planning on keeping it. Good luck with the trimming.

Excellent beard PK! Another example of the rewards of patience. Regarding trimming, I agree with Dano. Use different trimmer settings for different parts of your beard, and go with the grain. Personally I do not recommend using a trimmer on the mustache. I find that keeping the bottom aligned with scissors, plus the occasional snipping off of rogue hairs, is sufficient if you wish to maintain your mustache full and unbristly.

The more success stories we get over here, the more people will listen to us regulars As for trimming, I prefer the trimmer to scissors mainly because I don't trust myself with the shears. What you can do is change the setting on the neck, chin and stache to a different length than the cheeks if you prefer to let the cheeks get a bit longer. You just have to experiment until you find the right...

This Friday marks 8 weeks of beard growth for me. I had doubts that my beard would fill in like all of you said it would, but here I am pleasantly suprised and grateful for the Beard Board.

I also want to say that there seem to be a good amount of beards on the board right now at the 4 week mark. I hope to see you all at 8 weeks as I wasn't a believer until I saw for myself the difference those extra 4 weeks could make.

I do have a question regarding maintenance...
