hey guys im just wondering once you have terminal hairs do they grow to a certain length and slow down growing or are they constantly growing at the same speed and never stopping like head hair, thx

I have never grown my beard; which has always kind of bothered me.
I attempted to create a line about 5 days in which I later learned was a mistake. This board is answering all the questions I had that prevented any past attempts.

I'm 18 and decided to participate in No Shave November for the first time this year, but only want to stick with it all month if I'm likely to be able to grow something half-decent (in other words, something other than disgusting, patchy tufts of fur on my face; otherwise it's not worth all the itchiness). So after my original posting (see beard attempt 3 weeks) and the responses I began experimenting with some products to soften the beard. As a result I've landed on something I'm really happy with and it's home made!

- Take a small bottle (I used a thoroughly washed spice bottle).
- Fill 2/3 with water (preferably warm)
- Add roughly 1/3 oil (I used coconut)
- Spray a few bursts of your favourite cologne into the bottle.

Hello guys, it's Beardedteen here.

I've decided that due to attacks on my personal appearence, this board is no longer a positive place for me. I am therefore taking a hiatus from this board. I will be on for the rest of today until I play a concert at 5. Thank you for all of your support from the members that offered it. And yes, I will stay bearded during my absence.

Well I've made it to 3 months of growing completely untrimmed today. This is the longest i've ever let it go without shaving, and Im really enjoying it. I actually went by a friends house a couple of days ago to fix his computer. well, i graduated from basic oct 30th from great lakes rtc. i am now in meridian mississippi at my "a" school where i learn my techinical training. (my job is logistics specialist) anyways i have access to the internet finally. i bought a labtop and i got a hold of the petty officers internet key so i get free internet. i'm down to sideburns now but i'm growing a mustache. in about 2 weeks i reckon it will be looking decent so i'll be sure to post some pics.

I'm 16 and I've never shaved before. All I have is a little bit of hair on my upper lip. What the %#!% right? I want a mustache already =[ Is the myth true about shaving this bit of hair and more growing back faster?

Hey guys i've hit 14 weeks of having some kind of facial hair and i'm really enjoying it. I did have a chinstrap but got rid of it due to irritation and i think some ingrown hairs that really hurt. However, I still have facial hair. I shaved down to sideburns (trimmed) with a goatee/stache combo. I really like the look of it and think it turned out really well.

Well, today is the 90 day mark for me. Thanks for all the support or I would not have made it this far. The beard is looking a little better to me today. I am pleased with it so far. I made a few mistakes along the way. For one I started off by carving a cheek line and now it's taking a while for the cheeks to catch up. And, I also was carving a neckline, probably a bit too high. So, I was on holidays and got a little lazy with shaving (o.k. a lot lazy) and this has been the result so far. Only 3 weeks in and if what I've read is true (which it almost certainly is) I've got another 3-5 weeks before it reaches its full potential. I have never been able to grow any more than a strand or two on my cheeks (what you see is pretty much the natural hairline), but I think I prefer the look of it anyway.
